FOOTNOTE: The foundry Thiebaut Freres was established by the sculpture Henri-Leon Thiebaut (c. 1846-1899) and was renowned for its fine quality lost-wax bronzes. Thiebaut won Grand Prix medals at the International Exhibitions in Paris of 1878-1889.
